Job Summary
The Stationary Sales Manager is a key member of the sales team at Viably and helps drive business development, execution, and revenue growth of everything stationary plant sales within their territory. The Stationary Sales Manager is a customer-focused problem solver and thought partner to team members and customers.
The Stationary Sales Manager will also work closely with Viably's strategic partner Turmec, the Ireland-based plant builder. Turmec is Viably’s partner in North America supporting the sales, project management, design, engineering, installation, and commissioning of stationary plants. Our partnership with Turmec enables us to deliver customized, turnkey stationary plant solutions across diverse waste streams.
As the dedicated sales and business development manager for the Western or Eastern US territories, this role owns the full lifecycle business development and sales pipeline growth and execution for stationary plants sales. As such, this role requires a highly experienced industry professional who can manage complex sales cycles, educate customers, and build longterm strategic relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of stationary plant solutions for Construction & Demolition, Single Stream, and Municipal Solid Waste markets
- Establish and manage a recurring sales pipeline of $20–$40M annually, with a $10M yearone closed revenue target
- Develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer relationships in the Western or Eastern US region, including relationships with customers already operating stationary plants that require retrofits, upgrades, or implementing new plants
- Provide consultative guidance on plant design, processing technologies, and best practices
- Collaborate with OEM partners and strategic vendors to deliver tailored, endtoend plant solutions
- Support regional sales teams by advancing and communicating large, multisite or complex plant opportunities
- Work to integrate Viably products where appropriate and when they are the right solution in the process flow for a complete stationary plant
- Serve as subject matter expert on various processing technologies that include both key equipment, ancillary equipment, and conveying technology
- Stay informed on market competitors, technology advancements, and emerging waste streams
- Utilize CRM and ERP systems to track opportunities, forecasts, and customer engagement
Requirements
- Minimum 5–10 years of direct industry experience in waste processing, recycling systems, industrial equipment, or stationary plant sales
- Strong track record managing highvalue, longcycle sales
- Ability to solve complex customer challenges through consultative selling
- Ability to research and absorb new, unfamiliar industry and product information with the ability to convert it verbally and visually into effective sales information or presentations
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and executivelevel communication skills with the ability to confidently convey information to technically trained and non-technical customers
- Selfmotivated, organized, and capable of managing a large geographic territory
- Proficiency with MS Office, CRM systems, and mobile productivity tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (Spanish a plus)
- This position requires extensive travel throughout the US, with occasional travel to Canada and Europe
