Position: Clinician
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Hours: Part Time 20 hours per week
Schedule: Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00am-5:00pm with flexibility
Summary:
- Viability is seeking a Master’s-level licensed Clinician to work within a DMH-funded community-based program serving adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The Clinician will provide clinical oversight within a group living environment and maintain an individual caseload, ensuring services are delivered in compliance with DMH regulations. This includes adherence to medical necessity criteria, individualized treatment planning, and recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care.
Principal Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight in a group living environment in collaboration with the Site Supervisor.
- Maintain an individual caseload and serve as clinical lead for assigned individuals.
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments, risk assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with DMH medical necessity criteria.
- Ensure all documentation meets standards for timeliness, accuracy, and audit readiness (including progress notes, treatment plans, and reviews).
- Deliver evidence-based interventions including CBT and trauma-informed care.
- Coordinate care with behavioral health providers, substance use treatment programs, and other community supports.
- Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and clinical triage as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case consultations.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and all applicable confidentiality standards.
- Support program fidelity, quality improvement, and audit readiness activities.
Required Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
- Active Massachusetts licensure (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent).
- Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning aligned with medical necessity.
- Experience with evidence-based practices (CBT, trauma-informed care).
- Ability to work in community-based settings and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of DMH regulations and documentation standards.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
