What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Technician – Smart Home, Satellite & Starlink (Paid Training + Company Vehicle) position at Via Satellite Inc?
What You’ll Do:
- Install and service Starlink internet systems (dish mounting, cabling, router setup)
- Install and service Dish satellite equipment
- Set up smart home and security devices (Ring, Google, SimpliSafe, etc.)
- Deliver and activate mobile devices through Boost Mobile partnership
- Assist customers with device setup, data transfer, and number porting
- Educate customers on their new technology to ensure a great experience
- Identify opportunities to recommend additional services (earn extra income through on-site sales)
What We’re Looking For:
- 21 with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable using tools, ladders (up to 40 ft), and working outdoors
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Tech-savvy (experience preferred, but we provide paid training)
Physical Requirements:
- Climb ladders and work at heights
- Work in attics and confined spaces
- Lift, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
- Work in various weather conditions
Pay & Earning Potential:
- $17–$25/hour average first year
- Top performers can earn $25 /hour with incentives
