Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Upsell menu items and beverages by highlighting popular or premium options to maximize sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness throughout the shift
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or cash registers
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving concerns professionally, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience in a food service environment is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and food safety standards
- Experience with guest services roles such as host/hostess or server in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills and basic math aptitude
- Familiarity with OpenTable for reservations management is a plus
- Previous experience in upselling techniques to enhance sales performance within the food industry
