Position Summary
Hotel Indigo Huntsville – MidCity is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our pre-opening team. This position is responsible for ensuring all hotel linens and towels are cleaned, pressed, and prepared to brand standards to support daily hotel operations.
The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and well-functioning work environment. Selected candidates will be contacted directly to schedule interviews.
Essential Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store hotel linens and towels
- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and ironing equipment safely
- Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear and remove damaged items from circulation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry area
- Monitor linen inventory and report shortages
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist Housekeeping team as needed
- Ensure compliance with hotel and brand standards
- Clean Hotel Lobby, Public space & Employee Break room
Qualifications
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and reliability
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Repetitive motion including bending, lifting, and reaching
- Ability to lift and transport linen carts
