This role focuses on delivering scalable, high-performance, and automated infrastructure deployments supporting mission and modernization initiatives.
The successful candidate will architect and execute deployments across virtualization, storage, and hybrid-cloud platforms while ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance standards are met.

About The Role
Via Logic LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – Infrastructure Deployment (SME Level: Computer Systems Engineer/Architect) to design, integrate, and implement compute and storage solutions for enterprise-scale environments.
This role focuses on delivering scalable, high-performance, and automated infrastructure deployments supporting mission and modernization initiatives.
The successful candidate will architect and execute deployments across virtualization, storage, and hybrid-cloud platforms while ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance standards are met.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and integrate compute and storage infrastructures across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Lead implementation of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS).
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Ansible, Terraform, and Python to automate provisioning and configuration.
- Conduct performance testing, system tuning, and capacity planning for large-scale infrastructure.
- Support migration and deployment activities ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Collaborate with security and DevSecOps teams to embed controls aligned with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP frameworks.
- Document architectures, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across compute, storage, and network layers to maintain operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 10 years of systems engineering experience in enterprise or federal environments.
- Strong background in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience performing infrastructure deployments, migrations, and performance testing.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux server administration, including patching and monitoring.
- U.S. Citizenship required (Public Trust eligibility).
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
