Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizza styles according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures comply with food safety standards and sanitizing protocols
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient preparation to support consistent quality and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Follow recipe adherence closely to ensure consistency in flavor, portion size, and presentation
- Support high-volume production needs during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail and quality
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, especially in pizza making or similar culinary roles
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely
- Experience with food industry standards including grilling, braising, poaching, and food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high-volume production demands
- Knowledge of dietary department practices, menu planning, and catering experience is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining flexibility for special requests or modifications
