We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for the roles of CNA/Program Leader and PCA/Program Assistant . If you are enthusiastic about working with a team to develop and lead engaging programs that enhance cognitive functions and improve the overall well-being of our members, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and engagement of our members.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and manage personalized programs tailored to our members' needs.
- Lead various activities, including exercise, art programs, lectures, and more, throughout the day.
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Utilize PowerPoint and Word to create and deliver interactive and educational sessions.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere for members, volunteers, colleagues, and visitors, ensuring everyone feels valued and included.
- Provide empathetic and patient support to members recently diagnosed with dementia, maintaining a positive and encouraging demeanor.
Additional Supportive Care Responsibilities:
- Assist members with daily routines such as hand hygiene, and transitioning between activities.
- Provide gentle cueing and redirection to support independence and confidence.
- Observe and report changes in mood, behavior, or physical condition to the appropriate team members.
- Offer reassurance and emotional support during moments of confusion or frustration.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the day.
- Assist with mobility in a safe, non-clinical manner (walking support, guiding to activities, etc.).
- Help set up and break down activity areas and materials.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word is beneficial.
- A valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is advantageous but not mandatory.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
- A consistent track record of reliability and dedication to responsibilities.
