We are building VGW’s next generation infrastructure platform on AWS. And we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team in Sydney.

In terms of our tech stack, our infrastructure is container-based, running on AWS EKS, supported by MSK, Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudFront, and S3 for front-ends. We provision infrastructure with Terraform and use GitHub Actions for CI/CD. Grafana and Honeycomb are core to our observability stack.

What you will bring to the role:

• Experience working in a collaborative technical team.
• Previous experience building & operating container-based infra on AWS (preferably with EKS).
• Previous experience with DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and observability, container orchestration and streaming platforms (Kafka).
• Previous experience with big data technologies, distributed computing, data warehousing, and cloud platforms. Expertise in Databricks/Spark or Snowflake would be an advantage, but not essential.
• Understanding of resilience techniques and patterns.
• Understanding of cloud security techniques.
• Experience with ITIL processes and practices.
