Operations Analyst

We're looking for an Operations Analyst to join our Operations team based in Sydney.
The role is responsible for supporting VGW’s Customer Operations and Risk Operations teams by applying critical problem solving skills to solve a variety of challenges. Being comfortable with ambiguity and the unknown will be essential as the type of work you’ll undertake may change day to day. As part of the Central Services team, you’ll liaise with stakeholders across the business to implement your solutions and recommendations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Prepare high-quality, persuasive material to support evidence-based recommendations including drivers, root cause and business impact in support of existing processes, workflows and systems.
- Lead and facilitate the delivery of change management initiatives.
- Provide business insights and explanations on data trends and recommend solutions to problems/results to relevant stakeholders.
- Delivery of business analytics and dashboards to various business units via the creation of high-quality data visualisations.
- Understand, analyse and propose technical solutions for improving existing operational processes and workflows in use with operations teams.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate process waste and implement innovative approaches to solving complex business problems.
- Use data insights to review processes and share recommendations on possible feature improvements to be prioritised.
- Assessing and communicating the needs raised by stakeholders through the translation of business requirements into technical requirements.
What you will bring to the role:
- 3 years of technical business insights experience and proven project management experience is required.
- Experience in Customer Operations or Risk Operations is advantageous.
- Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in Information Systems, Business Analytics or relevant discipline is desirable.
- Proficient in the use of advanced Microsoft Excel/GSuite tools and quantitative research skills, particularly in analysing and reporting complex data.
- Snowflake and SQL knowledge is beneficial.
- Experience working with stakeholders from any/all of these areas: Verifications, Redemptions, Financial Crime Prevention, AML, Customer Service, and Data.
- Experience within financial services is beneficial
