Game Data Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Growth Products team and are currently looking for a Game Data Analyst in Poland.
As a Game Data Analyst at VGW, you will help to understand player behavior, measure game performance and support product and live-ops decisions for a live Match-3 mobile game. You will work closely with Product Managers, Game Designers, Live Ops and Growth to turn data into clear insights that improve retention, progression, monetization and overall player experience. This role is ideal for someone with experience analyzing free-to-play mobile games, especially in casual or puzzle genres.
Key requirements:
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills;
- Experience analyzing free-to-play mobile games;
- Strong understanding of core game KPIs: retention (D1–D30 ), engagement and progression, monetization and LTV;
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders;
- Experience working in cross-functional game teams;
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI);
- Experience with Match-3 or casual puzzle games (nice to have);
Key responsibilities will include:
- Analyze player funnels, retention, progression, and engagement across the full player lifecycle;
- Investigate player behavior across different cohorts and segments;
- Identify friction points in onboarding, difficulty, and progression;
- Provide actionable insights to improve player experience and long-term engagement;
- A/B Testing: Design, run, and interpret experiments - define the hypothesis and success metrics upfront, set the measurement plan, read the results cleanly, and turn them into a clear “do / don’t do” recommendation;
- Support pricing, economy balancing, and Live Ops planning with data insights;
- Track ARPDAU, conversion, LTV, and revenue trends;
- Help identify opportunities to grow revenue and improve payer retention;
- Support post-launch analysis of game updates and content releases;
- Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports;
- Partner with Product and Design teams to support roadmap decisions.
