Position Summary
Prepares and administrates the preparation of operations procedures and initiates ongoing updates and changes. Assists in the operations and maintenance of all fulfillment centers by performing complex technical work and directing others as assigned in the operation. Supports and assists in any processes that pertain to quality management. Responsible for assisting in planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes.

Working Location: In office in Waterloo
Work Hours Classification: Full-time, 8am-5pm CST
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist with creating and maintaining operations SOPs
- Be present in discussions around moving racking and warehouse design
- Quickly address emergencies and provide leadership and resolution
- Assist in planning warehouses and distribution centers for efficiency in both operations and capacity
- Organizes transportation for product transferring internally
- Help with developing new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost
- Assist with communications to manufacturers and suppliers
- Ensure strong communication and inter-connectivity with all affected parties/departments to any operational changes
- Reoccurring inventory analysis
- Providing a slotting analysis to each fulfillment center
- Nonmoving item analysis
- Item overages
- Handle tickets that are submitted regarding operations processes
- Monitor and support other fulfillment centers on inventory management
- Manage special projects as they arise across the network
- Drive continuous improvement from a planning and logistics standpoint
- Perform released product maintenance after creation
- Assist with the performance of audits as requested by customers and vendors
- Ensure that there is clear communication across departments pertaining to operations processes
- Maintain compliance, safety, and quality standards by ensuring strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintains a clear and organized work environment by ensuring all work areas are kept tidy and free of hazards by regularly cleaning and organizing tools, equipment, and materials.
Position Qualifications:
- Possess strong time management and organization skills
- Able to function independently in an agile environment, as well as part of a team
- Ability to be a team player and hold themselves and others accountable
- Consistently communicate with other VGMF and VGM Group personnel in person and via Microsoft Office 365 tools
- Ability to develop, influence, and coach indirect reports
- Ability to make decisive decisions related to operations and personnel to drive the business forward
Education:
- High School diploma or GED
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking throughout the facility for extended periods of time
- Operation of warehouse machinery and equipment
- Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
