Position Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Buyer to support our manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials while maintaining optimal inventory levels and production schedules. This role combines tactical purchasing with material planning responsibilities to ensure uninterrupted production and on-time delivery to customers. This role helps maintain strong supplier partnerships, supports company quality standards, and contributes directly to operational efficiency and cost management.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate forecasts, sales orders, and inventory levels into actionable supply plans.
- Issue and manage purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Track and update order status, ensuring timely delivery and addressing delays.
- Research and select vendors, negotiate rates, and coordinate deliveries.
- Communicate and manage supplier relationships and commitments.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance for cost, quality, and service.
- Support cost reduction goals and maintain favorable pricing metrics.
- Uphold company quality standards and handle urgent procurement needs.
