Team Lead

New Gen Holdings, Inc is seeking a dependable and motivated Team Lead to support daily operations in a licensed retail cannabis dispensary.

The Team Lead is responsible for helping guide the team during scheduled shifts, supporting customer flow, assisting with staff direction, maintaining store standards, and helping management ensure that daily operations run efficiently. This position is a strong fit for someone who is professional, organized, reliable, and ready to take the next step in a leadership role.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment, communicating clearly with both employees and customers, and helping create a positive, efficient, and compliant store environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support management with daily store operations and overall shift flow.
• Help direct team members during the shift and ensure assigned tasks are completed.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Support customer check-in, sales floor operations, online orders, and reception as needed.
• Help maintain a welcoming, professional, and compliant customer experience.
• Communicate daily goals, promotions, contests, new products, and important updates to the team.
• Help monitor employee performance, urgency, professionalism, and customer service standards.
• Assist with break and lunch coordination to help maintain proper floor coverage.
• Ensure cleaning duties are assigned, completed, and verified.
• Support register closeout, cash handling, and basic money verification when assigned.
• Escalate customer concerns, employee issues, safety concerns, inventory issues, or cash discrepancies to management.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and secure store environment.
• Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, urgency, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required credentials to work in a licensed Arizona cannabis dispensary.
• Prior retail, customer service, cannabis, or leadership experience preferred.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow scheduled shifts consistently.
• Must be comfortable working with customers in a busy retail environment.
• Must have strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to follow company policies, state regulations, and compliance procedures.
• Must be able to handle stressful situations professionally.
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Leadership Expectations

Team Leads are expected to help set the tone, pace, and energy for the shift. This role requires someone who can remain calm under pressure, communicate respectfully, and help keep the team focused during both busy and slower periods.

A Team Lead should be able to support employees professionally, assist with daily accountability, and bring concerns to management through the proper channels. This role requires discretion, consistency, and the ability to handle workplace matters without creating unnecessary conflict or disruption.

Work Environment

This position operates in a licensed retail cannabis dispensary. Team Leads may work in multiple areas of the store, including reception, sales floor, online order areas, inventory support areas, and the manager office when needed.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving throughout the store for extended periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift or move product, supplies, or equipment up to 40 pounds.

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Schedule may vary based on store needs. Night, weekend, and holiday availability is required.
