Duties
As a Job Coach at Vexla, you will:

• Provide personalized one-on-one coaching to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, helping them build essential life and job skills.
• Design and implement tailored training programs that cater to each client's unique needs and goals.
• Conduct assessments and interviews to identify strengths, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
• Mentor clients in areas such as job readiness, social interactions, and self-advocacy, ensuring they feel empowered and supported.
• Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to create holistic and effective support plans.
• Educate clients about their rights and employment laws to help them confidently navigate the job market.
• Lead engaging workshops on topics like personal wellness, social skills, and overcoming challenges.
• Build meaningful connections in the community through outreach efforts to recruit potential clients and expand our network.

• Flexible Hours: Work as little as 5 hours a month or up to 35 hours a week—you can tailor your schedule around your life.
• Work-Life Balance: Coordinate directly with clients to support them at times that suit both of you.
• Travel Reimbursement: Any travel beyond 35 miles will be fully reimbursed.
• Additional Pay Opportunities: Earn extra for providing support services like resume creation and interview prep.
• Placement Bonuses: Receive a bonus when a client is successfully placed in a job and retains it for at least 4 months.

Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who shares Vexla’s passion for empowerment and growth. Our ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
• Exceptional mentoring skills, with a talent for inspiring and motivating others.
• Knowledge of addiction counseling principles (a plus, but not required).
• Familiarity with employment labor laws and the rights of individuals with disabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively with a team while also being self-driven and organized.
• A detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills.
