What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ag Service Manager position at Vetter Equipment?
We are a Family owned Case IH Agriculture farm dealer complex seeking a qualified Service Manager to join our team in the central Iowa area. The Service Manager is responsible for developing relations with Farmers in the area, leading a team of technicians and managing financial responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Leads and directs technicians on daily assignments
- Primary contact for customers on problems, questions & concerns
- Develops annual service and sales promotions, including clinics
- Opening, completing and closing work orders in a timely manner
- Reviews rates for all machine charge outs
- Ensures proper documentation and retention of records
- Manage warranty claims and process
- Participates in reviews of shop performance including sales and expense analysis
- Manage training requirements for personnel
Qualifications
- Leadership, interpersonal and team building skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Basic knowledge in the use of Agricultural equipment in farming operations
- Basic computer skills including MS Office
- 1 year in service management or similar work experience
- Ability to lift, push, pull objects up to 75 lbs
- Knowledge of safety regulations including EPA and OSHA
