Safety Specialist

Role Overview: The Safety Specialist applies scientific and practical knowledge to innovate, design, and improve safety systems, processes, equipment, and tools to enhance safety performance in alignment with operational goals and innovations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead safety improvement projects and support plant themes.
• Proactively implement PDCA cycles to reduce hazards and injuries.
• Collaborate with leaders and safety committees to foster a safety-focused culture.
• Interpret and apply safety management policies and procedures.
• Perform risk assessments, ergonomic studies, and support process innovations.
• Develop safety reports, analyze data, and present findings.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field.
• 0-4 years safety experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and injury prevention strategies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and effective planning abilities.
