- Performing pre-operative assessments and collaborating on care plans.
- Providing technical assistance during surgery, such as handling instruments, tissue management, hemostasis, suturing, and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Assisting with patient positioning, preparation, and post-operative care, including dressing applications and transfer assistance.
- Supporting room setup, instrument handling, and equipment management, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques.
- Participating in patient education, communication, and safety protocols.
- Minimum two years peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience or one year as an RNFA.
- Completion of an AORN-recognized RNFA program and certification.
- Oregon RN license, Nurse Operating Room Certificate, and BLS certification.
- Maintains CNOR and RN licensure with ongoing Continuing Education.
- Two or more years as an RNFA, CRNFA certification, and ACLS certification.
