Radiology Technologist MRI - Weekender - Days

Role Overview: The MRI Technologist I is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures to support diagnosis, therapy, or research. They independently operate MRI equipment, prepare and administer medications as prescribed, and ensure patient safety and proper imaging protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient identification, ensure proper preparation, and document clinical history confidentially.
• Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety.
• Evaluate images for quality, verify data transfer, and assist with magnetic resonance interventional procedures.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying safety principles to minimize risk.
• Select pulse sequences based on established protocols and participate in MRI safety assessments.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate from a Radiologic Technology training program; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Certifications required upon hire include ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
• Ability to perform MRI procedures, evaluate images, and adhere to safety standards.
