Primary Care Provider - Float Pool

Position Overview

This role involves practicing professional nursing or medicine, including independent and delegated medical functions, patient advocacy, and delivering comprehensive care. Responsibilities include collecting patient data, formulating diagnoses, developing and implementing treatment plans, performing procedures within expertise, and educating patients and families on health and disease prevention. Accurate documentation, adherence to safety protocols, and effective collaboration with the healthcare team are essential.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate degree in nursing or Bachelor's in related field; appropriate licensure and certification for nurses or Physician Assistants.
• Valid state licensure, prescriptive authority, and DEA registration.
• Ability to perform procedures, conduct telehealth encounters, and manage urgent situations.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and compliance with legal and organizational policies.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and cultural sensitivity skills.
  
  

Key Duties

• Gather pertinent medical histories and conduct examinations.
• Assess data to formulate diagnoses and develop treatment plans.
• Perform clinical procedures within scope and in accordance with regulations.
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
• Document all clinical activities accurately and comprehensively.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and seek guidance when needed.
• Participate in quality assurance, training, and continuing education activities.
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Obtain and maintain necessary credentials and licensure.
• Participate in interviews and credentialing processes.
• For APNs, obtain full prescriptive authority within two years.
