Licensed Mental Health Professional

The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be a key member of an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team dedicated to assisting street homeless and subway-dwelling individuals in the community.

• Provide outreach, supportive counseling, and advocacy to participants before and after their transition from street to housing.
• Utilize the evidence-based Critical Time Intervention model to support stability, independence, and wellbeing.
• Work in a field-based, flexible environment with periodic on-call responsibilities.
• Assist with daily living skills, address discrimination and healthcare barriers, and promote harm reduction and person-centered care.
• Follow participants post-housing to ensure ongoing stability and support.
  
  

Minimum qualifications include a licensed master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology, with experience or plans for licensure working with homeless populations. The role involves travel across three counties, with relocation required before starting. Full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and a salary range of $32-$34/hour.
