Diagnostic Radiology Technologist - Rotation

Role Overview: Radiologic Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging using ionizing radiation. They independently conduct radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, prepare and administer medications, and ensure patient safety while following legal and institutional regulations.

Main Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history securely.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and verify data storage or transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, assist licensed practitioners, and perform procedures outside the radiology department as needed.
• Demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties, including operating room procedures, and participate in quality improvement activities.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology. Strong commitment to patient safety, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a clinical environment.
