Job SummaryDesign, develop, test, and oversee the manufacture and installation of electrical equipment, components, and systems supporting DoD communication networks and mission-critical platforms. Apply electrical engineering theory and best-practice design methodologies to deliver solutions for military, industrial, and scientific applications. Collaborate with system architects, program managers, and field technicians to ensure all deliverables meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards in accordance with DoD specifications.Filling this position is contingent upon contract award.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and supervise electrical systems supporting defense communication networksExecute the full engineering lifecycle (concept, design, prototype, testing, and field installation)Ensure compliance with DoD engineering standards and safety requirementsProduce technical documentation including drawings, test plans, and test reportsConduct hands-on testing using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and environmental test chambersCoordinate with manufacturing partners and oversee production runs to ensure quality and design conformanceParticipate in design reviews and present technical findings to stakeholdersTrack project schedules, identify risks, and support overall program executionRequirementsBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline (no substitutions permitted)Active DoD Top Secret (or higher) security clearanceMinimum three years of full-time professional engineering experience, including at least one year performing design, development, testing, or supervision of electrical systems for DoD communication networks or related infrastructureAbility to independently manage engineering efforts in defense communication environmentsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseRelevant industry certifications (e.g., IEC, IEEE, or DoD-specific training)Knowledge of power electronics, signal integrity, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and high-frequency circuit designExperience with PCB/EDA design tools such as Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, or CadenceFamiliarity with DoD standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461)Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management fundamentalsClearance RequirementU.S. Citizenship required.
