Role Purpose
The Senior Veterinary Technician plays a key role in supporting medical excellence, team cohesion, and daily hospital flow.
Your presence, communication, and reliability helps guide the team, support growth, and contribute ideas while remaining open to feedback, collaboration, and shared responsibility for outcomes.
What You'll Do
Clinical Care
- IV catheter placement, venipuncture, blood draws
- Anesthesia monitoring and recovery
- Dental cleanings and radiography
- Diagnostic testing and patient preparation
- Fear-Free handling and patient comfort
- Maintain accurate medical history and documentation
- Client education champion
Team Support and Flow
- Support daily workflow planning and task coordination
- Delegate appropriately and collaboratively
- Anticipate needs during busy periods
- Collaborate closely with team members
Training and Growth
- Share knowledge and support skill development amongst team members
- Encourage learning without micromanagement
- Demonstrate dedication to advancing clinical skills and personal growth
Communication and Culture
- Demonstrate approachability and professionalism
- Maintain open body language, eye contact, and a positive tone
- Greet teammates and contribute to a welcoming environment
- Contribute to a culture of openness, trust, respect and clear communication
- Participate in protocol refinement and quality improvement
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of hands-on veterinary clinical experience, including surgery and dentistry
- Strong clinical judgment and technical competence
- Clear, respectful, and proactive communicator
- Comfortable with collaborative decision-making and accountability
- Open to feedback and continuous improvement
- Accountable, emotionally mature, and team-oriented
Licensure is welcome but not required. Mindset, communication, and fit matter most.
