Job Description/Announcement
STS International, Inc. is currently seeking a Junior Field Service Technician (JFST) with troubleshooting, repair and maintenance experience to assist the Combat Field Service Equipment Team (CFSET) Technical Assistance Team at various CONUS and OCONUS locations. The Junior FST will be part of a team of Technicians supporting the rapid deployment of Force Provider modules in CONUS & OCONUS locations, providing on -site assistance and assessment of deployable Expeditionary on Base Camps, and providing technical assistance to ongoing and planned reset activities.
Position Roles and Responsibilities
Be able to deploy within 72 hours and deploy up to 120 days twice per year.
Knowledge of Base Camp Design
Knowledge of standard operating procedure for Military Practices
Knowledge of Containerized System Integration
Knowledge of Inventory Management best practices and procedures
Knowledge of Product level drawing reviews
Capable of writing base camp assessments, after action reports, corrective action reports, and weekly activity reports
Experience in preparing documentation to support engineering changes
Functional knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Configuration Control knowledge
Knowledge of Preservation and Packaging
Knowledge of Published Army Tech Manual layout and structure
Have a functional knowledge of and or be able to work from directions, blueprints, specifications, layouts, patterns and other information to construct, fabricate, fit, and assemble large semi-mobile shelters from aluminum beams and polyester vinyl.
Visualize material characteristics, completed sub-assembly and final assembly of the shelters. Determine the necessary time frames and other criteria required to produce necessary outcome
Select, trim, cut, or obtain proper components to fabricate sub-assemblies, align and fit into proper place by sewing, using a heat seal, tape, or other fasteners. Assure the proper fitting of components by performing the necessary adjustments and fabrication by hand, machine or mechanically
Check assembled shelters for proper seals, fit and construction. Perform some minor repair or modification work. Replace damaged, incorrect or improperly fitting components to include some machinery malfunction troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair. Prepare a variety of reports and documents on progress and status.
Attend and participate in meetings.
Perform other activities following established methods and procedures

U.S citizen and current SECRET level security Clearance.
Three years of experience in set up and maintenance with Force Provider, Semi-Mobile Shelters, Field Service Equipment, and Shelters.
Skilled in HVAC, power generation, and water and wastewater management.
Able to complete all necessary deployment requirements from Individual Replacement Deployment Operations to include meeting overseas deployment medical requirements.
When deployed able to work in austere environments up to 16 hours a day and 7 days a week.
When not deployed conduct the following tasks
Testing and evaluation of current and new equipment programs
Monitor ongoing production
Design of selected equipment
Training of equipment to gaining units
Fielding PM Equipment in support of CONUS operations
Technical Assistance in the development of Technical Manuals and Logistics Demonstration Events
Technical Assistance at the FCIL
Additional Requirements
Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Verbal and written communications must be timely and of consistently high quality in content, style and clarity.
Able to work as part of a team.
Maximo experience is a plus
