In this role, you will leverage your expertise in auto damage assessment to inspect vehicles, evaluate losses, and prepare accurate, comprehensive estimates for both first- and third-party material damage claims across auto or specialty lines. The ideal candidate brings proficiency in CCC ONE estimating software, strong negotiation and time management skills, and a customer-focused approach to delivering an exceptional claims experience.
National General Insurance is seeking an experienced Auto Field Adjuster to join our field estimating team supporting the Robeson, Columbus and Bladen Counties in North Carolina. This is a territory-based, field position, and candidates must reside within 30 miles of these counties.
This role also plays a key part in supporting team success by being a team player, showing flexibility, participating in training, mentoring, quality control, and providing technical guidance on material damage claims. An active adjuster’s license is preferred; if not currently held, candidates must be willing to obtain licensure shortly after hire.

Key Responsibilities
- Applies thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
- Builds established relationships with both internal and external customers
- Exhibits proficient estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses
- Processes a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
- Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the file within escalated authority limits
- This job does not have supervisory duties.
