Production Operator (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Primary Function:

The Production (packaging) Operator’s role is to handle multiple production processes in the packaging department, including packaging, capping bottles, and filling. The Filling Operator’s role is to support line leads to ensure the highest production rate.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform filling parameters per parameter document

o Set up of filling equipment

• o Teardown of filling equipment
• § Hopper
• § Nozzle heads
• § Conveyor
• § Gasket
• § Pumps

o Set up of equipment needed to fill.

• § Bottle scrambler
• § Conveyor/rails
• § Capper

· Set up and prepare production equipment for daily operations.

· Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure proper functioning and prevent downtime.

· Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality control standards and adjust as necessary.

· Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality specifications.

· Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance technicians to resolve problems.

· Adhere to safety protocols and report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.

· Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and meet production targets.

· Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality,

· and compliance.

· Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and maintain a clean and organized work area.

· Clean production utensils, equipment, and suites.

· Package finished product for shipment.

· Follow quality standards.

· Report issues to line leads for a seamless production schedule.

· Operate and monitor production equipment and machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.

· Perform other duties assigned by management

Skills & Knowledge Required:

· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience a plus.

· Previous production/manufacturing experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food processing and packaging setting (Preferred).

· Ability to cross-train in multiple operator roles.
