Veterinary Urgent & Well Care Center of Plainville is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician for a full-time or part-time position. Our privately owned hospital combines urgent care and general practice, creating a varied caseload and opportunities to strengthen your technical, surgical, anesthesia, and client-communication skills.

What you will do:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
- Collect blood samples, place IV catheters, and administer medications as directed
- Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery
- Monitor anesthesia and support safe patient recovery
- Obtain and document accurate histories, treatments, and patient observations
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
- Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and inventory to high clinical standards
- Support teammates during both scheduled appointments and urgent-care cases
What we are looking for:
- CVT credentials or equivalent veterinary-technician experience
- At least one year of veterinary experience
- Strong phlebotomy, patient-handling, and technical nursing skills
- Dependable communication, organization, and teamwork
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends as scheduled
