Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Gaithersburg, MD for a Licensed Veterinary Technician. The daily responsibilities include assisting veterinarians in surgical and diagnostic procedures, maintaining high standards of animal care, educating clients on post-operative care and pet health, monitoring anesthesia during procedures, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Animal Care and Pet Care, with a compassionate approach to patient well-being
- In-depth knowledge of Veterinary Technology and experience supporting surgical and diagnostic procedures
- Experience in Client Education, with the ability to effectively communicate post-operative instructions and general pet care guidance
- Skill in Anesthesiology, including anesthesia monitoring and related safety protocols
- Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Active Veterinary Technician license required or eligibility to obtain one in the state of Maryland
- Experience in a veterinary specialty or emergency care setting is a plus
