Responsibilities
Diagnose, treat, and care for companion animals
Operate diagnostic equipment, interpret results, and craft treatment plans
Educate clients on preventative care and treatment options
Perform surgery and prescribe medications
Provide compassionate end-of-life care
Maintain patient medical records and uphold veterinary ethics
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited AVMA institution
Appropriate state licensure and eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD
Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
Ability to lift/carry patients and equipment up to 25 pounds (with assistance for heavier loads)
