Epic Tails Veterinary Clinic is hiring two full-time Veterinary Technicians or Assistants!
Salary: $19.00-$23.00 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Salary is negotiable for the right candidate!
Sign-on bonus: $500 sign on bonus, with $250 paid after completion of 90-day probationary period and $250 paid at the 6-month mark.
Schedule:
This is a full-time position, typically working four 10-hour shifts.
A typical schedule could be:

- Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Wednesday: 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Every other Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM – (When scheduled for a Saturday shift, a half-day off during the week will be provided.)

- Low-stress and fear-free restraint and handling of cats and dogs—bonus if you also have experience working with birds and small mammals, too!
- Lab work, radiograph positioning and safety, injections (SQ, IV, IM), IV catheter placement, medication dispensing, and medical record maintenance, restraint for exams, and supporting veterinarians during procedures and appointments
- Hospital maintenance, stocking, and cleanliness
- Anesthesia monitoring and administration experience is a strong plus, but we can train a motivated learner!
- Skilled with the soft stuff: client communication and education, conflict resolution, answering phones, and taking payments
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
- Able to work under pressure, in new environments
- Interested in growing your skillset and learning new things
- Someone who believes in welcoming clients into the medical process by educating, supporting, comforting, and treating them as individuals
