Schedule: This is a full time position. Four 10 hour shifts, same day off every week, rotating Saturdays

Practice owner Dr. Helen Stehouwer associates Dr. Eileen Clark, Dr. Adam Mayorga, Dr. Julie Wickel, and Dr. Kristen French-Kim, combined with our staff, have extensive experience in day and emergency practices.
Our modern, 5,000 sq. ft. facility features six exam rooms and is fully equipped with cutting-edge technology, including digital and dental radiography, ultrasonography, in-house laboratory diagnostics, and surgical and therapeutic lasers. A recent remodel added a state-of-the-art dental suite and expanded workspaces for our doctors, ensuring the best environment for delivering top-notch care. Parkwood Animal Hospital stays on top of the latest advances in veterinary technology (Therapeutic laser, surgical laser, ultrasound, online pharmacy, dental radiology, and digital radiology) and, above all, remembers that all pets and clients need to be treated with compassion in every check-up, procedure, or surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfaces
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting blood, urine, and stool samples
- Administer medications and vaccinations under the supervision of a veterinarian
- Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ care, treatment plans, and follow-up visits
- Clean and maintain the clinic, including stocking supplies and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment
- At least 1 year of veterinary experience.
- Technical know-how in areas such as disinfection, administering medication, and using diagnostic equipment.
- Physical ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
