Veterinary Neurology and Imaging of the Chesapeake, a thriving privately-owned neurology/neurosurgery and advanced imaging practice in Hunt Valley, Maryland, is seeking a Veterinarian to perform and oversee anesthesia of patients undergoing MRI & CT.
This is a full-time position 8am-6pm four days per week. Open to Part-time. One weekend per month on-call.
The requirements: Either completion of a small animal rotating internship or 3 years of clinical experience. Experience in and enthusiasm for anesthesia a big plus.
The facility: We have a 1.5T MRI, on-site 128 slice CT, along with state-of-the-art anesthesia machines, a ventilator, monitoring equipment (ECG, ETCO2, SPO2, and blood pressure). A year ago we moved into our brand new 46,000 sq ft facility which has multiple specialty services including Neurology, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, ophthalmology, Cardiology, and Internal medicine.
Job overview: This is the perfect role for a veterinarian who is passionate about veterinary medicine but maybe needs a break from daily client interaction. There is little to no client interaction in this role, and it is heavily focused on patient care.
You will: Collaborate with our current MRI/CT team to continue to develop our anesthesia protocols, patient care workflow .
Serve as a mentor to our staff members about anesthesia and monitoring. This means you are a go-getter with great organizational and communication skills who likes to lead and take charge.
Be supported by registered veterinary technicians, an MRI technologist, technician assistants, neurologists and practice administration.
Have myriad opportunities to collaborate with and learn from board-certified veterinarians from nearly every specialty. There will be daily collaboration with neurologists, emergency vets, criticalists, surgeons and internists.
Compensation: A competitive salary and bonuses for emergency/on-call imaging.
