What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Vet Tech - Surgery Service position at Veterinary Medical Center of CNY?
NYS Licensed Vet Techs -- utilize your skills in a collaborative and advanced surgery service! This is an opportunity to participate in complex and interesting surgical cases while mastering new skills such as arterial catheters, anesthetic nerve blocks, long ling placements, etc.
We are a 24-hour Emergency, Specialty and Critical Care center located in Syracuse, New York. We currently have a large team of full and part time emergency clinicians, as well as board certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine, radiology, critical care, and oncology.. We also have a certified veterinary acupuncturist and a physical rehabilitation suite including underwater treadmill, hydrotherapy pool, and exercise room.
We have immediate openings in our surgery service. This service is appointment-based with a weekday schedule. We will have upcoming openings in new and expanding specialty services as well.
The VMC is deeply invested in our licensed technical staff, and one of our long-term goals is to advance the position of the LVT within the veterinary profession. We also offer seasonal veterinary assistant positions for those students in veterinary technology programs who are not yet licensed.
