Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on, creative, and highly organized Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive membership growth, event participation, and engagement across our organization.
This role is ideal for a marketer who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution; someone who can take campaign direction, turn it into clear value propositions and actionable plans, and bring it to life across multiple channels.
You will build marketing campaigns from concept through execution, optimization, and performance tracking, working closely with the Director of Marketing & Membership, Marketing Coordinator, and Graphic Designer to deliver high-quality, results-driven campaigns that align with our brand and mission.

Internal Collaboration:
- Primary Collaboration: Director of Marketing & Membership, Meetings & Events Team, Membership & Marketing Team

External Engagement:
- Extensive interactions with vendors and service/software providers
- Industry partners, peer associations and other veterinary event producers
Duties and Responsibilities:

Campaign Development & Execution
- Lead the execution of integrated marketing campaigns that support membership growth, event attendance, and organizational initiatives
- Translate marketing priorities into clear campaign strategy, timelines, and deliverables
- Own campaigns from concept through launch, execution, optimization, attribution and reporting
- Ensure campaigns are executed on time, on brand, and aligned with organizational goals
Messaging & Content Development
- Develop campaigns across email, web, social media, and promotional channels
- Shape campaign headlines and copy that communicate stakeholder value and drive engagement
- Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to ensure effective execution of email communications
- Partner with the Graphic Designer to bring campaign concepts to life visually
Membership & Event Marketing
- Develop and execute targeted campaigns to drive membership acquisition, renewal, and event participation
- Support year-round event marketing efforts to maximize attendance and engagement
- Translate program and event value into marketing messages that resonate with target audiences
Paid Media & Digital Campaigns
- Execute and optimize paid advertising campaigns across digital channels (e.g., social, search, display)
- Partner with the Director to align paid media efforts with broader marketing strategy, budget and priorities
Performance Tracking & Optimization
- Track and analyze campaign performance across key metrics (engagement, attribution, conversions, registrations, etc.)
- Identify opportunities to improve performance through testing and optimization
- Provide insights and recommendations to continuously improve marketing effectiveness
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to align messaging, timelines, and deliverables
- Coordinate across Marketing, Membership, Events, and Creative teams to ensure campaign success
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment using project management tools

- Campaigns are executed smoothly, on time, and with clear alignment to goals
- Membership growth, event participation, and engagement metrics improve over time

Qualifications:
Minimum Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Communications or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing, campaign management, or digital marketing
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven experience strategizing, managing and executing integrated marketing campaigns
- Hands-on experience with paid digital advertising (social, search, or display)
- Strong copywriting and messaging skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences
- Experience using data and performance metrics to improve campaign results
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, email marketing platforms, and analytics tools
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize work and drive projects forward
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, solve problems, and follow through independently
- Ability to balance detailed execution with an understanding of broader organizational goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders
- Adaptable and responsive in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
- Comfortable working in a role with high accountability and visibility
Supervision Received:
- Upon full understanding of the brand, mission and membership, ideally this role would operate with a high degree of autonomy in determining work methods and priorities
- Receives general guidance, regular feedback and periodic review of outcomes
- Provides regular updates to the Director of Marketing & Membership on progress and initiatives
Travel:
One to six times per year, including weekends:
- Required attendance at the Annual Symposium (IVECCS), in September or October, requiring up to 11 consecutive travel days, typically including a commitment of evening and weekend work. Duties assigned during IVECCS may be related to your job description or assigned as needed to produce a successful event. Conference-related tasks may include long days on your feet, lifting, packing, walking, etc.
- This role may also travel to attend conferences as an exhibitor to promote VECCS or as an attendee for Continuing Education
