About Us:
The Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center of Northern Arizona is a privately owned facility that is dedicated to providing gold standard care to every patient that comes through our doors. Our facility is equiped with various technologies that allow us to provide this care. We are the only facility in Northern Arizona that has an in-house CT machine. We pride ourselves on having a team that not only works well together but strives to provide the best care we can.
Required Experience/Education/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Veterinary Assistant/Technician experience (Required)
- Veterinary Technician Certification (Preferred but not required)
Job Duties:
- Communicate appropriately to both clients and staff during stressful situations
- Properly perform the doctors treatments to patients
- Perform multiple tasks for patient care with or without help
- Provide compassionate care during end of life appointments
- Carefully handle and dispense medication
- Complete proper cleaning protocols set up by the clinic
- Maintain proper medical records and paperwork up keep
- Be able to properly and safely restrain both cats and dogs
Working Conditions:
- Be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without help
- Be able to perform intense physical activity for longer periods of time
- Be willing to stay past shift or come in early if needed
- Be okay with having bodily fluids on your scrubs
Schedule:
- Friday thru Monday
- 12 hour shifts
- Rotating overnight shifts
- Holidays
- Possible overtime in busier seasons
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
