Full Job Description:
Our VCG Forest Hills Location is hiring for an Experienced Veterinary Assistant! We are a building something great and are looking for you to join our team! The ideal candidate will have great customer service skills, professional, upbeat, and friendly. Must be comfortable on a computer and take feedback well. Knowledge in veterinary setting and Cornerstone software a plus. We will train you for the rest. We are looking for someone who is also in a current AVMA Accredited School Program (Veterinary Technician School).
The veterinary assistant assists the veterinarian and veterinary technicians with office visits and exams, takes care of the everyday needs of patients in the hospital and helps maintain the hospital facility, keeping it neat and clean.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests
- Answer questions and address complaints
- Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary
- Keep updated records and files Execute exams and treatments of patients
- Manage daily surgery/dental schedule
- Patient Handling & Restraint
- Assisting with phones if needed
- Radiology Stocking, cleaning, and assisting the team with medical care
- Client Communication
- Additional duties as assigned
