Our practice is looking for the next great member of our team. We are currently recruiting a Scrub Nurse for our surgical team. As a vital member of our surgery team, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure Sterility/Aseptic Technique: Maintaining strict sterility and assisting the veterinarian during surgical procedures.
- Execute Patient Prep: Performing surgical site preparation
- Instrumentation: Ensure proper instrument cleaning, maintenance and preparation for procedures. Reduction in intraoperative "down-time" through proactive instrument passing and setup
- Optimize Workflow/Organization: Maintaining inventory, ensuring proper sterilization protocols are followed, and keeping the surgery suite running efficiently.
- Serve as Patient Advocate: Providing exceptional pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care.
We are seeking two types of highly motivated professionals to join our specialized team:
- The Experienced Surgery Technician: A Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) with a proven track record in a surgical setting, proficient in all aspects of perioperative patient care.
- The Aspiring Surgery Technician: An experienced CVT or veterinary assistant who is eager to specialize and launch a career in veterinary surgery. We are committed to providing hands-on training and mentorship to help you make this exciting transition.
