Key Qualifications:
- Must have, at a minimum, a Masters Degree from an approved school of Social Work for a certain size facility.
- Must have, at a minimum, 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility.
- Must be registered as an Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW). Must also be a member in good standing of the ACSW and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW)
Responsibilities:
- To plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis.
