Veterans Thrift is seeking a dependable, energetic Furniture Pick-Up and Delivery Lead to join our team. This hands-on position is responsible for safely picking up and delivering donated furniture, loading and unloading items, driving a box truck and trailer, and providing outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate enjoys physical work, leads by example, works well with volunteers, and takes pride in keeping operations organized and efficient.
Duties:
Safely operate a box truck and trailer for furniture pickups and deliveries.
Load, unload, move, and place furniture using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
Perform vehicle inspections before and after use and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
Provide courteous, professional customer service during pickups, deliveries, and donor interactions.
Assist with furniture merchandising, organization, and other store operations as needed.
Work independently and as part of a team to complete daily assignments efficiently and safely.
Supervise and work alongside volunteers and individuals completing court-ordered community service, providing direction and ensuring work is completed safely and appropriately.
Maintain clean, organized vehicles and work areas while following all company safety policies.
Represent Veterans Thrift in a professional and positive manner within the community.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
