Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to identify potential security risks or hazards.
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior.
- Control access points using security systems, verifying identities, and maintaining logs of all visitors, contractors, and staff.
- Respond promptly to alarms or emergency situations following established procedures.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities.
- Assist with emergency response procedures including first aid administration, AED operation, CPR, and fire safety protocols.
- Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors when required, ensuring compliance with security regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as military or law enforcement is preferred.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, access control systems, and emergency response procedures.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use are highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for patrols or incident management.
- Strong conflict management and de-escalation skills to handle difficult situations professionally.
- Excellent communication skills for incident report writing and customer service interactions.
- Familiarity with security regulations and compliance standards relevant to physical security operations.
