Field Service Technician – CNC & Industrial Machinery

We are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. We are a veteran-friendly organization and strongly encourage military veterans to apply. You will work independently from your home base, providing expert support for advanced CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. This is a hands-on role where you will be the "go-to" technical expert for our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, software, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues on CNC machinery.
- Install & Test: Perform post-installation testing to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Train & Educate: Conduct on-site training for customer operators on machine function, maintenance, and safety.
- Document: Accurately log service activity, diagnostics, parts, and resolutions.
- Travel: Manage a regional travel schedule with regular overnight stays to support customer sites.
What You Need
- Education: 2-year technical degree (mechanical, electrical, or machine tool technology) or equivalent military technical experience or demonstrated experience in the maintenance field.
- Experience: Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment; proficiency with PLCs is a plus.
- Skills: Ability to read engineering drawings/schematics; skilled in using diagnostic tools (gauges, test indicators, force meters).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills; capable of working independently.
