Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Route Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our team and support the operations of Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin. This on-site role, based in Racine, WI, involves safely driving trucks, delivering supplies, and providing exceptional customer service. The Route Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading items, maintaining vehicle logs, and ensuring timely and safe delivery to designated locations. Collaboration with team members and maintaining effective communication with staff and donors are essential to the role.
Qualifications
- Experience in Truck Driving and operating commercial vehicles
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage effectively with team members, donors, and the community
- Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance and keep accurate delivery logs
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations related to truck operation
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Enthusiasm for supporting Veterans and working with a mission-driven organization
- Experience with warehouse operations and driving a sit down forklift
- Knowledge of and ability to follow proper OSHA safety regulations
- Willingness to assist in other areas of the operation should the need arise
- Availability to attend fundraising and volunteer opportunities that directly affect VOW in the evenings and on weekends when called to do so
