Responsibilities- Perform echocardiograms on patients, ensuring all relevant images and information are captured for physician review
- Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, ensuring functionality and safety standards are met
- Review ultrasound images and assist in identifying abnormalities, collaborating with physicians to discuss findings
- Educate patients on the echocardiogram process, alleviating any concerns and ensuring comfort during the procedure
- Record and maintain accurate, detailed patient records and imaging reports in accordance with regulations
- Stay updated on advancements in echocardiography technology and techniques, implementing changes as appropriate
- Assist in training new staff and students on echocardiographic procedures and equipment usage
- Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Proven experience as an ECHO Technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Ability to operate echocardiographic equipment and ensure high-quality image production
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on patient care and comfort
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Travel Requirements
