What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Veterans Covert Protection Group?
- Own staffing coverage across all assigned accounts. No post goes unfilled without a documented resolution plan.
- Coordinate directly with the Scheduling department to anticipate and close coverage gaps before they become client issues.
- Supervise Field Managers, Field Supervisors, Site Supervisors, and Security Officers.
- Conduct routine and unannounced site inspections to verify post compliance, officer conduct, and service quality.
- Respond to field incidents, call-offs, and client escalations. This role is on call when operations require it.
- Hold field personnel accountable to attendance, performance, and conduct standards.
- Address disciplinary issues promptly and document all corrective actions.
- Assist Human Resources with hiring and onboarding to maintain adequate staffing pipelines.
- Maintain strong working relationships with client representatives at assigned sites.
- Monitor labor hours and overtime. Flag budget concerns to the Director of Operations before they compound.
- Review and approve incident reports. Ensure documentation meets company standards.
- Enforce BSIS regulations, post orders, and company policies across all field personnel.
- Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate site and personnel records.
- May involve working emergency shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Guard Card required.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of security operations or management experience.
- Prior supervisory or field leadership experience required.
- Demonstrated experience managing staffing coverage across multiple sites.
- Strong working knowledge of California BSIS regulations.
- Proficient in Google Workspace and professional report writing.
