Duties

- Employ motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive decision-making and foster engagement with available resources.
- Provide crisis management support by responding effectively to urgent situations and connecting veterans with appropriate emergency services or mental health providers.
- Educate veterans about their rights, benefits eligibility, and application procedures with transparency and clarity.
- Collaborate with community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies to coordinate comprehensive support plans.
- Maintain detailed records of interactions, assessments, and service plans to ensure continuity of care.

Experience
- Proven experience working with veterans or within social work environments that focus on behavioral health or addiction counseling.
- Strong knowledge of veteran benefits programs such as Section 8 housing assistance and workforce development initiatives.
- Skilled in motivational interviewing techniques to motivate behavioral change and enhance engagement.
- Experience in crisis management with the ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies.
