What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at Veteran Staffing Network of Easter Seals?
Seeking a US Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse highly preferred for a CNC Machinist. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for machining and measuring components, maintaining machines, and ensuring all work meets quality standards while supporting cost-effective manufacturing operations.
Schedule: Monday – Thursday: 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
Fridays: OFF
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
- Setup machines for production components
- Machine/fabricate standard and special components
- Perform continuous inspection of components while in process
- Complete secondary operations as required
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment while following all safety standards
- Complete machinery maintenance and repairs as required
- Maintain stock of shop tooling
- Record notations of necessary updates or changes to drawings
- Ensure production schedules and ship dates are met consistently
- Inform management of potential problems and assist in implementing solutions
- Supervise and train employees when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned including attending meetings and trainings
Requirements:
- US Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse highly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of manufacturing experience or related training
- Experience with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and email communication
- Experience with Mazak machines with live tooling
- Mazatrol experience required
- Knowledge of conversational programming
- Machine setup experience required
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and written instructions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
