Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and preferably experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight from Marshall, MI to Veteran's Truck Line's terminal in Burlington, WI then back to Marshall, MI. We pride ourselves in having nice and new automatic tractors and provide very quality benefits including PAID health insurance. Our drivers are paid hourly, and receive time and a half for all over-time hours. This shuttle driver position guarantees a minimum of 54 hours a week. Duties
- Safely operate tractors and refrigerated trailers while following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) guidelines.
- Reside 30 miles or less from Marshall, MI
- Start times are usually 4-7PM
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit.
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record; experience driving tractor-trailers would be preferred, but willing to train if the right candidate is presented.
- Haul LTL less than truckload and TL truckload freight on 53-foot refrigerated trailer.
