We are seeking an experienced Paint and Body Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform high-quality repairs and refinishing on vehicles damaged by collisions, hail, or other incidents. You’ll work in our newly expanded facility with modern equipment and collaborate with our team of automotive professionals to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition with exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess vehicle damage and develop comprehensive repair plans
- Perform structural repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
- Remove damaged parts and install new or repaired components
- Prepare surfaces for painting through proper cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming
- Mix and apply paint to match existing vehicle color with precision
- Refinish and blend adjacent panels for seamless repairs
- Apply clear coat and perform final buffing and polishing
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
- Maintain detailed documentation for insurance and customer records
- Collaborate with estimators and service advisors on job requirements
- Keep work area clean, organized, and in compliance with safety regulations
- Train and mentor junior technicians when appropriate
Requirements:
- 3 years of professional automotive body repair and painting experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in color matching and paint blending techniques
- Experience working with various materials (steel, aluminum, composite, plastics)
- Knowledge of proper body filler application and finishing techniques
- Familiarity with frame straightening equipment and measuring systems
- Experience with modern painting systems and spray booth operations
- Understanding of vehicle mechanical systems affected by collision repair
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical documents
- I-CAR certification preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of paint and body experience
- ASE Certification in Collision Repair and Refinishing
- Experience with computerized paint mixing systems
- Knowledge of custom paint applications and specialty finishes
- Experience working directly with insurance adjusters and companies
- Background in automotive restoration
- Military experience (veterans strongly encouraged to apply)
- Experience with estimating software (Mitchell, CCC, Audatex)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and bend for extended periods
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Manual dexterity for operating tools and equipment
- Visual acuity for color matching and quality inspection

Pay: $23.85 - $28.72 per hour
