Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other machinery to perform tasks including grading, excavation, lifting, and material handling
- Manage construction site activities by safely operating equipment like concrete mixers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Assist with site preparation by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up construction zones
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Transport materials and equipment across the site using commercial driving skills with vehicles such as dump trucks or tanker trucks
- Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other heavy machinery
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience driving heavy-duty vehicles like dump trucks or tanker trucks
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with project workflows and safety standards
- Ability to operate specialized machinery including concrete mixers and farm-related equipment when needed
- Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) equipment brands or similar heavy machinery is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
